Why do weird sites come up when I am searching online?
A
There are several different ways search results are displayed. There are legitimate results that match your search terms against information about the sites they display. Then there are sponsored results, where companies and people can pay for search keywords that make their sites appear more prominently in the sponsored areas (usually on top of the other searches and on the side as well) anytime those words are searched. These results may or may not relate to your search terms.
