My brother is in second grade, and some of his friends in his class already have cell phones! It's crazy to think that these little elementary schoolers are walking around texting and calling people on their personal phones! It shows how technology-centered our world is becoming!

that is crazy, Laura! I remember in sixth grade, a girl in my class got a cell phone and she was the only one... I was ridiculously jealous! But now kids even younger than that get cell phones!! I didnt get mine until I was 14!

I got mine when I was 12 because I was going to go on a vacation with just my mom and one with just my grandma so they thought I needed one for good reasons not just because they make you look cool. I think if the child has the phone for a good reason it is okay. Like if they walk home with friends they should have a phone on them
