I just click “I accept” whenever they ask me to agree to the privacy policy at a site. I never even read it. It goes on for pages anyway and is so boring! Are they important?

Boring or not, reading a privacy policy is important when you visit a new site. You should know what programs they may be installing on your computer to report back about your online activities. You need to know who owns what you post and if they share your personal info with others.
It’s your personal info and privacy. If you don’t care about it, who will?
